Health insurer WPA has partnered with patient review platform Doctify to launch a new digital tool designed to help members search for and book consultations with private healthcare providers.
The WPA Healthcare Finder, now available through the WPA Health App and My WPA online portal, offers members access to detailed provider profiles, real-time booking functionality, and verified patient feedback. Users can search by condition and view information on clinicians’ professional backgrounds, specialisms, clinic locations and patient experience.
The tool is powered by Doctify, which aggregates verified patient reviews and professional endorsements. WPA said the new platform would improve transparency and make it easier for members to select and book consultations with clinicians that meet their individual needs.
Sharon Shier, Chief Customer Officer at WPA, said the insurer wanted to reduce the stress associated with finding a specialist by giving patients greater visibility and control.
‘Unlike many insurers, we allow customers to choose their preferred specialist or hospital. In partnership with Doctify, we launched a Healthcare Finder to give customers direct access to a search and booking platform, allowing them to book a consultation directly with the specialist of their choice, reducing stress and enhancing overall experience,’ she said.
Stephanie Eltz, CEO and co-founder of Doctify, said the platform aimed to offer a ‘best-in-class, modern experience’ to help patients make informed choices at what is often a stressful time.
The partnership adds to Doctify’s portfolio of collaborations with insurers and independent healthcare groups. For healthcare professionals, the integration means that a single Doctify profile can be synced across multiple directories, allowing updates, reviews and endorsements to be reflected automatically across all supported platforms.
