Private healthcare referred to Competition Commission

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has referred the private healthcare sector to the Competition Commission for further investigation into whether there are features of the market which ‘prevent, restrict, or distort competition’.The decision follows a consultation with stakeholders which closed in January this year.
