Ophthalmology network confined to cataract procedures

BUPA Insurance has finally launched its controversial approved ophthalmology network, albeit it in a greatly scaled back form.The network, which has been fiercely resisted by consultants, was originally intended to cover all routine ophthalmic procedures, but as the scheme went live in August it emerged that its scope would now be limited to cataract operations….
