NHS bosses demand private limits on consultants’ choice work

A number of NHS hospitals have asked their senior doctors not to treat health service patients in their own time at what they call ‘competitor’ private hospitals and treatment centres.According to letters seen by the Financial Times, NHS managers are worried that by doing so, hospital doctors could be generating increased revenue for rival organisations….
