Matrix Healthcare, which runs five homes with just over 200 beds, reported revenues of £1.5m and profit before tax of £1000 for the six months to March 1999. First quarter occupancy was, on average, over 90%, but fell in the second quarter to 86%, attributed to a flu epidemic and local authority budgetary restraints….
