Independent sector infection rates remain low

Independent sector hospitals have recorded extremely low rates of healthcare acquired infections, according to new figures from the Health Protection Agency (HPA).The figures, obtained from inspections carried out between April 2010 and September 2010, showed just six cases of MRSA were recorded across 210 private hospitals covering a total of over a million bed days….
