Extra £3.4bn needed to stem decline of adult social care, analysis shows

An additional £3.4bn a year would be needed by 2028/29 to avoid adult social care services from declining, analysis from The Health Foundation estimates. Ahead of the government’s Spending Review, the foundation said this is the minimum required to prevent a further deterioration in services and to signal the government’s commitment to improving social care….
