Cleveland Clinic London has been appointed the official healthcare provider for Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC) for the 2024/25 seasons. The partnership will see consultant in sports and exercise medicine Dr Phil Batty providing medical support during home matches at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Batty, who is medical director for MCCC, brings over 25 years of experience in elite sports medicine. He was previously head of sports medicine at Manchester City Football Club and senior team doctor for the England Rugby Team.
The new partnership extends his ongoing involvement with MCCC, leveraging Cleveland Clinic London’s advanced medical facilities and expert teams, which span orthopaedics, cardiology and neurology.
‘Cleveland Clinic London provides the most complete sports medicine service in London, and I’m delighted that we’re supporting MCCC as the official healthcare provider,’ said Batty. ‘Our team-based approach ensures players have access to leading specialists across multiple clinical areas, facilitating quick diagnostics and treatment to get them back on the pitch as soon as possible.’
