Birmingham City Council has announced the appointment of Thomas Dervin as strategic director of social care and health.Dervin is currently director of Newcastle social services, which has moved from ‘special measures’ to three star status under his direction. Dervin takes up his post in April this year and a replacement is yet to be recruited….
