Agincare has opened Norton Lees care home in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, following refurbishment and renovation work.
This is the family-owned care group’s first home in the north of England and was bought from Affinity Care Consortium in December. Since then, work has been carried out, including plumbing and water works upgrades, remodelling of outside areas, interior refurbishment, improvements to staff facilities, and renovation and refurbishment of eight rooms.
Purpose-built to accommodate up to 80 residents, Norton Lees provides care for privately- and publicly-funded residents.
‘Welcoming Norton Lees into the Agincare family is a real honour,’ said Adam Luckhurst, Agincare director. ‘Wherever we go, we raise standards, build trust, and become a thriving part of the local community. Norton Lees will be no different.’
Residents, families, schoolchildren, health and social care professionals, and neighbours attended an opening event.
Home manager Phill Seddon, a qualified nurse with two decades of health and social care experience, said: ‘We’re thrilled to begin this new chapter alongside our residents, families, and fantastic care team. My focus is on creating a stable, supportive, and joyful home – where every resident feels valued and truly at home.’
